Job Description
BBPOS is seeking an Android System Engineer to contribute to the development of kernel and driver-level systems for their embedded payments platforms. The role involves building, troubleshooting, and testing these systems, working with hardware and software product lifecycles, and ensuring quality and security. It requires collaboration with partner teams and external vendors.
Requirements
- 2+ years working with mobile or other connected devices
- Experience using automated testing, build systems, and inter-component communication protocols such as GPIO, SPI, I2C, etc.
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with C memory manipulation (from kernel driver point of view)
- Knowledge of operating systems (custom Android, embedded - Linux, or Real Time Operating Systems), familiarity with software development tools
- Degree in CS, CE, EE, or equivalent practical experience
- Fluent English and mandarin Chinese
