Associate Staff Engineer, Product Development

We are the makers of possible at BD, a global medical technology company. We are seeking an Associate Staff Engineer to join our Product Development team in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in product development, design control processes, and medical device design. The role involves leading R&D deliverables, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and executing design verification testing.

Requirements

• BS – Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or Biomedical Engineering
• 6 years of professional experience in product development projects
• Experience with medical device design control processes and creating and maintaining design control documentation
• Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tool and regulatory standards applicable to design of medical devices
