Job Description
BenchSci is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Data team. The role involves evolving data models, operationalizing data pipelines, and contributing to innovative data mining and information retrieval initiatives. The team collaborates with Machine Learning and Data engineers on projects such as scientific experimentation and new reagent discovery. This position offers a chance to work with a growing team and make a significant impact on scientific discovery.
Requirements
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar area
- 4+ years of experience working as a professional software engineer, data in industry
- Expertise with Python and SQL
- Experience with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Experience with cloud development (GCP and Terraform)
- Strong background in data structures and large-scale data manipulation
- Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills
