Requirements
- Machine operators may be assigned to multiple workstations.
- Perform a variety of select tasks in a manufacturing environment:
- Complete product packaging per specifications/instructions.
- Weighing of product (if applicable).
- Assembling products (if applicable) per specifications/instructions.
- Running auxiliary equipment (if applicable)
- Carryout machine operator instructions as directed by shift supervisor, runner, and/or quality personnel.
- Familiar with customer requirements, completing basic cosmetic inspections on molded products prior to packaging.
- Familiar with CMG part number system.
- Communicate product defects to shift supervisor and/or quality inspectors.
- Awareness, understanding and acknowledgment of CMG GMP behavioral requirements as outlined on the Employee General Work Practices FSSR-780-051/052 document.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the workstation.
- Duties may include sweeping the floor and cleaning equipment within the workstation as instructed by shift supervisor.
- Machine operator duties may also include grinding of scrap product either at the workstation or in a separate area within the facility.
- Specific instructions/training and PPE will be provided as needed.
- Awareness and avoidance of potential safety hazards.
- Properly identifying finished product, placing labels on cartons, pallets, etc., as instructed.
- Maintain control of tools and other equipment provided at the start of the shift.
- Responsible for returning the equipment at the end of the shift.
- Awareness of CMG emergency evacuation procedure.
- Maintaining facility security, not allowing anyone into the facility unless instructed to do so by the shift supervisor.
- Operating material handling equipment when instructed to do so by the shift supervisor.
- Respectful and polite communication with shift coworkers and shift supervision.
- Participate in training events.
- Awareness and understanding of product safety requirements as it relates to the following:
- Waste Management (proper disposal of waste products)
- Glass, Brittle Plastics, Wood and Small Metal Policy (potentially contaminating product caused by the presence of foreign objects, jewelry, broken glass and plastic pieces, metal, wood, etc. in the work area, and not using CMG products as storage vessels or tools)
- Sanitation Program (importance of keeping the work area clean)
- Pest Control (awareness of the program only – do not touch or move pest control devices)
- Employee Hygiene (usage of personal protection equipment, wearing clean cloths, washing of hands after touching food, waste, using the washroom, etc.)
- Allergen Control Program (understanding CMG is a peanut free facility)
- Chemical Management (proper usage and storage of chemicals)
- Perform other tasks assigned by shift supervisor.
