Senior Backend Engineer

Betr is a rapidly growing sports betting and daily fantasy sports company looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join its Integration Team. The role will involve owning critical technical areas, working with cutting-edge sports betting technology, and solving complex distributed systems challenges at scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years backend engineering experience with production systems
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin or Java
• Deep understanding of Kafka
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture
• SQL and database optimization skills
• Ability to debug complex issues across multiple services
• Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration
