Custodian

Betty Brinn Children’s Museum is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. This role is key in ensuring the museum is presentable, especially in high-traffic areas. The ideal candidate will be proactive, friendly, and capable of independent work. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting equipment and assisting with special events.

Requirements

• 1+ year previous custodial or cleaning experience, preferably in a public or high-traffic environment
• Knowledge of and adherence to safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals, operating cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums), and ensuring that all areas are free from hazards
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
• Must be able to work weekends
