Field Service Technician is responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support of electro-mechanical and automated control systems within the mining, minerals processing, and bulk material handling industries.
Requirements
- 5+ years of field service, commissioning, or technical support experience within mining, minerals processing, bulk material handling, or heavy industrial equipment environments
- Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical and electrical systems
- Proven ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and control documentation
- Hands-on experience commissioning, programming, and troubleshooting automated industrial control systems
- Excellent customer-facing communication, coordination, and technical leadership skills
- Ability and willingness to travel 50–80%, primarily within North America; occasional international travel
- Experience using service management systems and coordinating engineering service activities
- Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent practical experience in electrical, controls, or industrial engineering disciplines
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices in mining environments
- Experience collaborating with multinational teams and European-based engineering or support organizations
