Senior Data Scientist

Bitsight is a cyber risk management leader looking for a Senior Data Scientist to design and deploy retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems using large language models (LLMs) for reasoning, summarization, and automation at scale.

Requirements

• 4+ years of industry experience in data science or applied machine learning, with a record of shipping models to production.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong programming skills in python.
• Deep understanding of prompt engineering and evaluation techniques, including few-shot design, RAG grounding, and hallucination mitigation.
• Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain for building agent-based systems.
• Familiarity with software development best practices, including version control (Git), Docker, and experience with data systems such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with engineering.
• A practical mindset — able to turn complex ideas into working, impactful systems.
