Senior Accountant

Our client is a growing organization in the renewable energy sector seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to support its finance team with full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, general accounting, and financial close processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Working toward a CPA designation is an asset but not mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within construction or project-based accounting.
• Experience with U.S. entities is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in ASPE and multi-currency reporting environments.
• Knowledge of Canadian corporate income tax and sales tax; U.S. tax experience is an added benefit.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop required, along with a general proficiency and interest in additional software and cloud-based applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detail and a results-oriented approach with strong commitment to deadlines and quality standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
