Senior Accountant

Blank Street is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the US Accounting function. This role involves maintaining the financial health of the company by supporting monthly close, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting and tax skills, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for contributing to a growing company.

Requirements

• Prepare and ensure timely, accurate and complete GAAP compliant monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Perform period-end closing of the general ledger, including journal entries and reconciliation.
• Research, calculate and document areas of significant judgments and estimates.
• Drive the development and maintenance of appropriate documentation for key accounting policies and procedures.
• Liaise with internal and external partners to support timely preparation of monthly and quarterly tax returns.
• Proactively evaluate and implement improvements to processes and procedures.
