Senior Counsel, Regulatory US

Blockchain.com is looking for a Senior Counsel, Regulatory (US) to work on ground-breaking, novel regulatory matters in the crypto space. The role requires an exceptional lawyer with 5-8 years of relevant regulatory experience, including experience advising on CFTC/derivatives matters and familiarity with US regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

• LLB/JD and admission in a US jurisdiction
• 5-8 years relevant regulatory experience; in-house FinTech experience a bonus
• Experience advising on CFTC/derivatives matters, and familiarity with wider US regulatory frameworks, such as RIAs, broker dealers, and banking
• Ability to work well under pressure with diligence, organization, and minimal supervision, and provide practical, business-friendly advice to clients
• Strong analytical and strategic skills; ability to drive issues to a quick resolution that factors in many non-legal variables, such as brand-risk, communications, government relations, tax, insurance, finance and other business units
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity
• Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks and to build the processes and systems to prevent them from occurring
