Bloomberg is seeking a driven and diligent Data Engineer to join the Ownership Data team. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the end-to-end data ingestion of Ownership datasets, analyzing internal processes to find opportunities for improvement, and developing data quality strategies for the Ownership datasets.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or relevant data technology field, or equivalent professional work experience
• 4+ years' experience in data analysis, financial market research, and/or information technology
• Proficiency using scripting languages (preferably Python) to build pre-processing services that can be integrated in our data pipelines
• A solid grasp of data modeling principles and technologies to perform requirements analysis, conceptual, logical, and physical modeling
• Experience profiling new datasets, and implementing high volume, low-latency ETL pipelines
• Understanding of quality assurance and quality control from a data and product perspective
• A passion for data and a demonstrated drive to set and uphold standard methodologies for data management
• Proven track record of effective project management and a customer focused mentality
• Good interpersonal skills across various partner groups - Engineering, Data Analysts, Product Managers, Senior Management
