Director, Managing Counsel- BNY Pershing

BNY Mellon is seeking a Director of Managing Counsel to support the BNY Pershing line of business within the BNY. This role involves managing and negotiating contracts, providing legal support to brokers-dealers and clients, and advising on new product development and regulatory risk management. Requirements

• 8-12 years legal experience with a focus on contracts and investment advisory/broker-dealer issues.
• In-House experience with a Broker-Dealer, Registered Investment Adviser or at a regulatory agency strongly preferred.
• Trust Bank experience a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence and impact business decisions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires hands-on support, business teamwork and the ability to multi-task.
