Serve as an electronic technician, conducting the assembly and fabrication of electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment. Perform tasks, including the operation of mechanical machinery, calibration equipment, power tools, and electronic tooling.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an electrical technician in the Defense industry, Military duty, or the DoD
- Experience with soldering and rework techniques
- Experience with electronic diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
- Knowledge of electronic assembly fabrication, including wiring harnesses, electronic circuit boards, and integration of electronic components
- Ability to install, assemble, and configure new electronic systems and components such as circuit boards or wiring
- Ability to troubleshoot using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and fix issues in electronic systems, including testing, debugging, and performing quality control checks
- Ability to analyze engineering drawings to determine the electronic fabrication requirements and layout of electronic assemblies
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Electronics Education Program or Apprenticeship certification
