Boston Scientific is seeking a Director of Scientific Affairs to lead the AFib Solutions Scientific Affairs team, supporting the Electrophysiology and WATCHMANTM franchises. The role will develop and execute franchise-specific evidence strategies, strengthen scientific partnerships, and deliver impactful podium and publication strategies.
Requirements
- Lead and develop a high-performing team in interpreting clinical data and trial designs to identify evidence gaps and strategic opportunities within the atrial fibrillation space.
- Set and align scientific and communication strategies with therapeutic area goals, leveraging clinical trends and unmet needs to drive impactful publications and education initiatives.
- Ensure the team effectively translates complex scientific data into clear, accurate, and compelling content for diverse internal and external audiences.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Clinical, Regulatory, R&D, Health Economics, and Marketing to ensure scientific messaging is integrated into overarching business strategies.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), fostering collaboration and embedding best practices across medical marketing, clinical, and sales functions.
- Provide strategic leadership across Scientific Affairs to ensure team alignment with clinical and organizational objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader to internal and external stakeholders, contributing to initiatives that enhance therapy adoption and reinforce scientific credibility.
- Allocate and manage resources appropriately. Manage budgets.
- Define and implement team processes to ensure executional excellence.
