The Program Director manages overall Club programming, ensuring training and programming is disseminated to all program staff. They assist the Club Director in planning, interviewing, and evaluating unit program staff and volunteers. The Program Director also supports and trains unit program staff, provides on-the-job training, and coordinates program planning efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of five years' work experience in a Boys and Girls Club or similar organization
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet usage
- Ability to interview, hire, train, supervise, and motivate staff
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated capacity to be a team player
- Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems
- Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management
- Ability to relate effectively with parents and community
- Ability to prepare weekly reports as required
