Payments Product Owner

Breakwater Technology is a technology solutions company seeking a Product Owner to lead the Payments domain, covering PSP integrations, payment methods, transaction processing, and the internal payments platform.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as Product Owner, Product Manager, or System Analyst in Payments, FinTech, or iGaming
• Strong understanding of PSP APIs, payment processing, and gateway logic
• Familiarity with microservice architecture, event-driven systems, and communication between services via brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
• Ability to interpret API specs (REST, JSON, webhooks) and translate them into development tasks
• Solid understanding of payment lifecycle — auth, capture, refund, chargeback, settlement
• Knowledge of payment regulations and frameworks (PCI DSS, PSD2, 3DS2) and how they affect product requirements
• Hands-on experience working with agile development teams (Scrum or Kanban)
• Experience facilitating discovery, refinement, and delivery processes
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and align multiple priorities across cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and documentation skills in English
