Optician

An optician counsels patients through the eyewear selection process, educating them on doctor recommendations and creating a fun shopping environment. The optician utilizes creative design skills and strong administrative skills to complete tasks such as calculating co-pays and preparing work orders for the optical lab.

Requirements

• Assist patients in the selection process of spectacles
• Calculate insurance co-pay based on insurance eligibility
• Perform spectacle adjustments and repairs
• Troubleshoot patient concerns with eyewear
• Maintain inventory and displays of optical merchandise
