Senior Accountant - Accounts Payable - SoCal

Brilliant Corners is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to lead and support a team of Staff Accountants in Accounts Payable. This role is critical to ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial operations across the organization.

Requirements

• Supervise, coach, and develop Staff Accountants
• Oversee and review high-volume accounts payable processing
• Maintain oversight of vendor setup, W-9 collection, and resolution of discrepancies
• Manage daily and monthly financial operations
• Lead and coordinate monthly and year-end close processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit regulations, and funder/donor reporting requirements
• Collaborate with program teams and Finance leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and funder reporting
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and strengthen internal controls
• Utilize and help optimize systems including Sage Intacct, Paycom, Lattice, and Salesforce
