Drop Installer I

A Drop Installer I is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications cabling, connecting residential and commercial properties to the network. The job requires a basic understanding of telecommunication products and services, familiarity with tools and equipment, and excellent customer service skills.

Requirements

• Installing and configuring various cable systems
• Placing aerial and underground cable to connect customer premises
• Installing enclosures, vaults, and other infrastructure components
• Marking/labeling facilities to identify and trace wiring
• Assisting with or performing fiber optic splicing and repairs
• Performing general construction labor
• Conducting signal testing and troubleshooting
• Maintaining tools and equipment
• Completing necessary paperwork and documenting work performed
• Providing excellent customer service
