Production Tech

Production Technician responsible for installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment at hydro generating facilities. Must have knowledge of hydro generating units, PLC and instrumentation systems, and OSHA safety standards.

Requirements

• Installation, testing, and maintenance of protective and control relay schemes, PLC’s, supervisory controls, electronic and all associated electrical and mechanical equipment
• Must be capable of operating and be switch qualified at all hydro facilities in the assigned area
• Have a thorough knowledge of and plan, oversee and participate in the installation, testing and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment
• Perform and oversee the installation and repair of electronic and solid state equipment and test devices used in hydro station control, instrumentation and communication
• Provide technical assistance to the Senior Production Leader, and maintenance personnel, and work closely with Hydro Support Staff
• Read, interpret, and work from all prints, sketches and diagrams of mechanical and electrical equipment
• Have up-to-date knowledge of the theory of operation, maintenance and testing techniques for newly installed types of hydro generating equipment
• Have a thorough knowledge of all applicable local, state and federal regulations pertaining to assigned work
• Have a thorough knowledge of the Company’s operating standards, policies and directives
• Proficient in performing the duties of the Hydro Electrical & Mechanical Crafted Worker
• Oversee the work and assist in the training of employees in lower classifications
• Perform other duties as necessary
