Special Education Teacher (33992)

Buffalo Hearing & Speech is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join their team at the Fredonia location, working with preschool children in special education classrooms. The teacher will design and implement group lessons to encourage development in speech, language, and readiness skills.

Requirements

• New York State Certification as a permanent Special Education Teacher or Teacher of Students with Disabilities (Birth-2 or All Ages) OR willing to obtain.
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in special education from an accredited university or college
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to learn on the job and change quickly as situations require
• Physical Requirements: able to perform job requirements with adequate vision, speech, tactile, and hearing senses
