As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will assist in the implementation and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure on AWS while ensuring our systems remain reliable, scalable, and secure.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles is required
- A minimum of two to three years of practical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services and architecture is required
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and tools, specifically Terraform or CloudFormation
- Solid experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, Elastic Container Service (ECS), or Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Codepipeline, or Codebuild
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Datadog
- Proficient scripting skills in languages such as Python or Bash
- Thorough understanding of basic networking concepts, including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, security groups, and load balancing
- Proven ability to manage technical projects with guidance from senior staff
- Experience implementing security best practices within cloud environments
- Familiarity with database administration and optimization, specifically Aurora Relational Database Service (RDS) MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java/Springboot, Node.js) with the ability to debug applications and develop infrastructure automation tools
- Solid knowledge of Linux systems administration, including troubleshooting and security hardening
- Proficiency in the general networking stack and the ability to diagnose and resolve system issues
