Join a global leader in maritime classification and certification as a Ship & Equipment Surveyor. Monitor new ship constructions, conduct surveys and inspections, and carry out factory inspections and audits. Travel will be required within the Normandy region and occasionally to neighboring areas.
Requirements
- Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Shipbuilding, or previous experience as an officer in the Merchant Navy or the French Navy
- Strong technical knowledge of hull construction, welding, propulsion and onboard systems, safety, electrical systems, and naval architecture
- Initial professional experience in shipbuilding, maintenance, or classification, demonstrating autonomy and accountability
- Proficiency with digital tools and strong written communication skills
- Rigor, curiosity, teamwork, and a strong customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders in a demanding technical environment
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, enabling interaction with international clients and colleagues
