Associate Commercial Counsel

Business Wire is seeking an Associate Commercial Counsel to join our team. The successful candidate will focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, advising internal teams on legal risks, and supporting compliance with internal policies.

Requirements

• JD degree from an accredited law school and current member in good standing with a US state bar
• Two to four years of reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contracts at a law firm and/or an in-house legal team
• Knowledge of current contract law, and related legal principles and procedures.
• Strong understanding of business sensitivities and confidentiality
• Outstanding organizational skills, including ability to prioritize, delegate and multi-task
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills
• High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas
• Proven judgement and analytical skills
• Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks
• Experience with data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, etc.
