As a Facilities/Maintenance Technician at BWX Technologies, Inc., you will perform a variety of duties within the Maintenance department and provide support throughout the facility and within all areas of production. You will work under general supervision and follow established policies, performing assignments requiring general use and application of concepts, practices and techniques within various areas of the facility.
Requirements
- Associates Degree or completion of two (2) years at a technical school
- At least six (6) years facilities/maintenance work experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Intermediate knowledge of troubleshooting; repair/maintenance of various machinery including but not limited to CNC lathes, mills, grinders, hydraulic and mechanical presses, and heat treating/sintering furnaces; PLC’s; and power distribution systems
- Advanced knowledge of maintenance trades and associated tools and equipment including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, air conditioning, machinery and equipment repairs
- Analytical ability to perform moderately complex equipment evaluations
- Intermediate knowledge of math involving algebra and geometry
- Ability to schedule and prioritize workflow
- Effective computer skills and literacy
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and external contacts
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Able to work in a team environment
- Able to work any shift (1st, 2nd, 3rd)
- Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) and/or Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance
