Health & Safety (H&S) Technician

At BWX Technologies, Inc., we are seeking a Safety & Health Technician to provide field and administrative support for the safety and health activities of a workforce that carries out decontamination, decommissioning, and demolition work at an NRC-regulated Category I Fuel Fabrication Facility nuclear site.

Requirements

• Minimum A.S. degree in technical field + 2 years of experience, or a minimum of 6 years of previous jobsite safety experience
• Ability to prioritize job duties
• Excellent oral and written skills to effectively communicate with employees, supervisors, and customer
• Strong team player with the ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external customers
• Must be a U.S. Citizen - no dual citizenship
• Must be eligible to obtain a DOE “Q” security clearance (equivalent to “Top Secret”) and able to maintain that clearance
• Must complete and maintain appropriate radiological controls and other necessary qualifications
