Quality Technician job at BWXT in Lynchburg, VA. Support engineering with development and testing activities, assist in developing manufacturing plans and inspection procedures.
Requirements
- A minimum of an associate degree in a technical field plus eight (8) years of experience OR a high school diploma / equivalent plus ten (10) years of relevant experience
- A minimum of four (4) years quality experience in a nuclear, defense or aerospace industry
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with inspection for product development, prototyping, and/or First-of-a-Kind applications
- Experience with independent planning and performance of dimensional inspections including demonstrated understanding of selection and application of appropriate dimensional inspection techniques
- Must be able to read and interpret complex drawings including understanding and implementation of ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for inspection
- Must have strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated ability to perform in a collaborative team environment with minimal procedural guidance and supervision
- Must have demonstrated proficiency in generating technical reports and presentations using MS Office Applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance, whichever is required
