Job Description
This SATCOM Engineer position involves investigating and troubleshooting telecommunications and IT conditions on a contract basis, providing technical expertise and support to White House Communications Agency (WHCA) customers. Responsibilities include spectrum assignments, satellite & circuit support, network security management, and customer project development. The role requires proactive problem-solving, collaboration, and strong analytical skills. It is a contractor position working with multiple vendors.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of campus, datacenter, and cloud network technologies.
- Practical experience with enterprise firewall platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network problems.
- Experience with 802.1X, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, VPN, firewalls, routing, switching, and network security.
- Experience with IPv6.
- Strong understanding of software-defined networking technologies.
- Comfortable working in a multi-vendor environment.
- Administrator-level experience on Windows or Linux.
- Ability to work weekends and nights.
