Job Description
This Carpenter position is responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing wooden structures. The position requires knowledge of layout, safety protocols, and tool operation. The role involves working on site in a construction or plant operations setting and utilizing hand and power tools.
Requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints/sketches
- Instruct laborers and construction trade helpers
- Build and set forms, use level instruments, and perform carpentry work
- Operate hand and power tools (electric, gas, and pneumatic)
- Inspect areas and perform repairs/maintenance
- Read/comprehend instructions
- Communicate effectively
- Perform sedentary to heavy work
- Manage safety procedures
- Understand material takeoff
- Work in confined spaces (may be required)
