The Vice President of Development is responsible for the advancement and successful execution of a multi-hundred-megawatt portfolio of energy projects, including Solar+Storage, Standalone BESS, Microgrids, and CHP assets. The role requires 15 years of experience in energy project development and leadership, with a proven track record of enabling project development teams to deliver successful and bankable Behind the Meter (BTM) projects and portfolios.
Requirements
- 15 years of experience in energy project development and leadership
- Direct experience in diverse technology stacks such as Solar, Battery Storage, Microgrids and CHP
- Proven track record of leading key late-stage development activities and guiding multiple projects to NTP
- Executive presence with experience managing cross-functional project teams
- Proven experience managing key client relationships such as Fortune 100 customers and Data Centers
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills; proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interface confidently with internal stakeholders, customers, regulators, and financiers
- Understanding of financial modeling and project economics; ability to support Investment Committee processes with data, assumptions, and insights
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, or related discipline; MBA or further education a plus
