Job Description
Calo, a food technology company, is seeking an experienced Strategic Buyer to manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and profitable partnerships. The role involves driving productivity through smart sourcing solutions and agile services, optimizing inventory levels, and collaborating with various teams to streamline operations. The ideal candidate will be analytical, proactive, and possess a strong understanding of supply chain principles.
Requirements
- Assume leadership for procurement and sourcing within designated categories
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers
- Negotiate favorable terms and establish Service Level Agreements with suppliers
- Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities
- Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
- Develop and execute food and non-food sourcing strategies
- Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and Operations
- Work with automation and maintenance teams
- Perform cost and scenario analysis
- Maintain open communication with stakeholders
