Correctional Deputy

Performs correctional work as a correctional deputy in the County's detention center, supervising inmates, controlling entry and exit, conducting investigations, and responding to emergencies.

Requirements

• Supervises inmates in living areas
• Controls entry to and exit from secure areas
• Conducts investigations of reported incidents
• Responds to medical and other emergencies
• Transports and/or escorts inmates
• Conducts pat downs and strip searches
• Performs initial classification duties
