Mechanical Engineer Team Lead

The Mechanical Team Lead will manage a team responsible for designing and manufacturing distribution transformers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. This hands-on role requires both technical guidance and active participation in the design process, focusing on transformers applications and collaboration with multiple teams. The ideal candidate will be strong in mechanical engineering and possess collaborative problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in design engineering of electrical distribution equipment.
• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software and ERP systems.
• Experience in distribution transformer design and manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, and sheet metal design.
• Understanding of electrical wiring and systems.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ability to work with, and manage, diverse and distributed teams.
