Join the Multi-Unit Borrower Financial Analysis (MUBFA) team as a Senior Specialist, Credit Risk and Financial Analysis. This is a temporary position with a duration of up to 18 months. As a subject matter expert, you will identify, analyze, and assess the risks on large borrowers and provide a recommendation on CMHC’s continued insurance business.
Requirements
- Act as the subject matter expert and coach and mentor members of the team.
- Establish financial review and monitor framework on large borrowers and provide subject matter expertise to internal & external clients.
- Perform complex financial analyses and manage the end-to-end credit review process, while providing guidance to internal clients on financial aspects, such as financial reviews, credit analysis, risk management policies and procedures.
- Work closely with external clients and counterparties, reviewing borrower financials submitted by lenders and preparing recommendations for credit committee approval.
- Ensure that the functional business unit is compliant with corporate policies and follows industry best practices.
- Ensure that appropriate systems are in place for effective and efficient credit risk analysis, monitoring and reporting.
- Develop and support the development of policies, methodologies, procedures, analytical modelling and risk management information systems.
- Develop and deliver seminars for various internal/external stakeholders.
