Canoo is seeking a Manager of HSE to ensure compliance within the OKC Manufacturing facility and across the company for Health, Safety and Environmental topics. The successful candidate will collaborate with various departments to assess risks, provide training, and implement proactive measures to enhance the overall health and safety culture within the organization.
Requirements
- OSHA Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum 10+ years related work experience
- Experience with and detailed knowledge of automotive development, manufacturing, and operations
- Strong knowledge ESG trends
- Strong knowledge of applicable regulations and standards related to HSE (OSHA, DOT, PHSMA, EPA, ISO, NEBOSH, HazMat)
- Strong knowledge of Life Safety Code
- Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Highly self-motivated, with strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills including strong writing skills.
- Ability to effectively work within multidisciplinary team.
- Able to think both strategically and tactically with ability to solve problems.
- Strong business acumen with ability to proactively identify and test new ideas and innovations for potential application on company assets.
- Ability to create an environment that inspires others to achieve goals and perform at their highest level possible
- Must be a self-starter and identify issues and initiate resolution on own initiative.
