Propulsion Controls Engineer

Canoo is seeking a Propulsion Controls Engineer to plan, develop, test, and issue propulsion controls software for electric vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow, as well as knowledge of electric vehicle systems and software documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Experience using MATLAB / Simulink / Stateflow for control algorithm development
• Experience with on-vehicle testing of propulsion systems
• Experience with software documentation / calibration guides for propulsion software
• Electric vehicle systems knowledge: High voltage Battery, Traction Inverter, Electric Motor
• Experience with in-vehicle data acquisition equipment: Vector, Intrepid, PCAN, or similar
• Experience with software analysis tools: Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, vsignalizer, CANape
• Experience with log file analysis and root case identification of software issues in vehicle
• Requirement management systems experience: Jama, Doors or Polarion
