The Innovative School Models Manager is responsible for defining, launching, and scaling new and innovative supports to school districts in Texas. The Manager will oversee a small team and vetted Technical Assistance Providers to manage and establish TEA programs and operationalize legislation, including the Navigating Excellence through Targeted Supports (NEXT) initiative and the Moonshot Models Initiative.
Requirements
- Lead School Model Strategy: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of promising, results-backed school models and the latest school models-related research, best practices, and conditions for success.
- Design and Implement Planning and Implementation Process: Design school model planning and implementation processes with high likelihood of achieving student outcomes, including key actions for grantees, highest-impact deliverables and intended outputs, and ambitious yet attainable student outcomes.
- Manage School Models Performance: Manage performance of school models grant programs based on 3-5 year indicators of success, annual summative metrics, and ongoing formative metrics and milestones.
- Develop and Implement Communication and Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement a communication strategy to ensure best-fit districts are aware of school models-related opportunities, TEA maintains a strong pool of well-qualified vendors, and internal and external stakeholders are aware of engaged appropriately.
- Team Management and Supervision: Manage a small TEA team and vetted technical assistance providers by establishing rigorous goals, providing tailored supports and feedback, and managing performance.
