Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a Finance Manager to join the Neuroscience Institute team. The Finance Manager will provide strategic financial leadership and operational oversight for the financial and accounting functions within the Neuroscience Institute.
Requirements
- Develop complex forecasting and financial models to assess financial performance
- Partner with the Institute's Sponsored Research Administrator to ensure efficient financial management
- Drive a disciplined approach to financial reviews, planning, forecasts and analysis
- Supervise the Institute's Financial Assistant
- Communicate financial results and trends to senior leadership
- Assess process gaps and implement improvements in efficiency and execution
- Collaborate with colleagues to collect and leverage financial and operational data
- Ensure compliance with university accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Manage month, quarter, and year-end close processes
- Produce accurate and timely financial statements and reports
