Security Officer - University Police Department

Carnegie Mellon University's Police Department is searching for Security Officers to serve the CMU community. The role involves working a flexible schedule, including mandated overtime and continuation of regular tour of duty. The successful candidate will provide outstanding service to the university community through collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and open communication.

Requirements

• Conducting watchperson rounds of university buildings and areas
• Reporting suspicious activity, persons, and conditions
• Providing escorts to students, staff, and faculty members
• Providing general assistance to campus police officers
• Providing general information to university personnel and visitors
• Performing foot patrol on campus grounds in all weather conditions and temperatures
