Job Description
Cartesia is seeking a Cluster Infrastructure Engineer to build and scale their compute backbone for real-time, multimodal intelligence. This role involves designing, operating, and maintaining large-scale GPU clusters, prioritizing speed, reliability, and automation for fast, resilient, and scalable research operations. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with research and product teams.
Requirements
- Strong engineering fundamentals and experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems
- Deep familiarity with GPU cluster management using Kubernetes and Slurm
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
- Strong debugging skills (NCCL, CUDA errors, driver-level faults)
- Experience optimizing large-scale distributed training frameworks (DeepSpeed, Megatron-LM, etc.)
