Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of Maths and English, vocational Qualifications, and enrichment elements to help our students prepare for independence, and work experience. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work collaboratively and flexibly, supporting the delivery of English, Maths and ICT Functional Skills, GCSE English and Maths resits, and a vocational subject (currently BTEC Work skills).

Requirements

• A Teaching Assistant qualification at Level 2 or above, or a commitment to obtaining this qualification
• Level 2 qualifications in English and maths, or a commitment to obtaining this qualification
• High expectations of pupils’ behaviour and clear strategies for working with challenging pupils.
• Ability to motivate and encourage children appropriately.
• Have experience of teaching children with EAL, SEN, Speech and language difficulties and other complex needs.
• Capability to work independently, supported by the teacher, with groups of or individual pupils
