Job Description
The Public Benefit Specialist will assist Refugee Support Services clients with public benefit applications, determine their eligibility, and liaise with caseworkers and welfare agencies. Responsibilities include explaining program requirements, documenting services, and attending meetings. The role supports refugees with limited English proficiency.
Requirements
- Associate's degree preferred or 2 years experience working with refugees.
- Previous experience working in a non-profit or government setting preferred.
- Experience working with immigrants and refugees who have limited English proficiency preferred.
