Electrical Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)

CDM Smith office is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join their team for Summer 2026. The intern will work with a dynamic team of industry leading engineers on a diverse portfolio of public, utility, and industrial projects.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelors or Master's in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology or related discipline with an interest in power systems and/or electrical distribution.
• Developing drawings for electrical systems (power, controls, communications, fire alarm, and security) using CADD.
• Performing electrical calculations using systems analyses software (lighting, load, voltage drop, etc.).
• Assisting in the development of electrical distribution design plans and single line diagrams.
• Reviewing shop drawings and assist with general construction services.
