Job Description
Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) is seeking an Estimator II for the Energy division. This role involves developing and completing utility-scale solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) estimates, including self-perform and subcontracted scopes of work. The Estimating team will teach estimating skills to future project managers and serve as a crucial part of CEI's sales engine. CEI emphasizes integrity, problem-solving, and safety.
Requirements
- Knowledge of utility scale solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills
- Experience with Engineer, Procure, Construct (EPC) estimates
- Experience with MS Office
- Experience with Accubid or similar estimating software
- Existing relationships with Tier 1 vendors
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuitry and calculations
- Knowledge of power delivery, substations, and transmission lines
- Knowledge of civil construction and utility scale solar PV
- Ability to meet deadlines and work remotely
