Personal Care Attendant I

The Personal Care Attendant I provides assistance to CEI participants in the participant’s home or day center. The position requires knowledge and skills necessary to provide personal care and ADL/IADL care to frail elderly who need help to continue living safely in the community.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
• A valid California driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle is required if working in the Home Care Department
• Current Basic Life Support CPR card and First Aid Card is required
• Proficient with oral and written English is required
• Basic proficiency in computer skills required
• Minimum 1 (one) year of experience working with frail, low income elderly is preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team is required
• Bilingual is preferred but not required
