
The Center for Organ Recovery & Education (CORE) is a federally designated non-profit organ procurement organization that serves the Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Chemung County, NY region, covering 155 hospitals and nearly six million residents. CORE coordinates the surgical recovery of organs, tissues, and corneas, working closely with donor families and healthcare professionals to ensure timely transplantation. The organization also manages computerized organ matching and cornea placement, providing a seamless bridge between donors and recipients. In addition to procurement, CORE delivers public health initiatives, education, community outreach, and case management, positioning itself as a comprehensive partner in the transplant ecosystem.
The Multicultural Outreach Coordinator develops and coordinates communications to positively influence community and religious leaders, government officials, health care professionals and media to increase organ and tissue donation among ethnic minorities.
