Job Description
Center For Positive Changes is seeking a Child Care Worker to join their team. The Child Care Worker will provide quality supervision and guidance to residents assigned to their STRTP, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a high level of emotional intelligence and the ability to develop positive relationships with residents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid Child Development Teaching Permit
- Alcohol Counselor Certificate
- Drug Counselor Certificate
- Completed 12-semester units of Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, or Foster and Kinship Care Education
- At least 1 year of experience working at STRTP or similar population
- At least 100 hours of experience working with youth as a mentor, athletic coach, teacher, vocational coach, tutor, counselor, or other relevant experience
- Relevant life experience in the child welfare, mental health, or juvenile justice systems as a consumer, mentor, or caregiver
- Valid California driver’s license
- CPR and First Aid
