Certified Nursing Aide

Provides quality long-term care to residents in an environment that champions their rights, dignity, health, independence, and individuality; implements specific procedures and programs; coordinates work within the department, as well as with other departments.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Successful completion of an Oklahoma state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education which meets state certification requirements
• Current Nursing Assistant Certification in Oklahoma or eligible to obtain certification within four months of employment
• Moderate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills
• Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills
• Auditory and visual skills
• Ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, and lift items weighing 25 pounds or less
• Satisfactory completion of post-offer, pre-employment physical as required
• Minimum of three months' prior nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
