Job Description
Centerline Logistics is seeking a Mate, LMS-SF for a full-time position on a vessel (potential barges, towing or shipping). The role involves overseeing vessel safety, handling tow lines and wires, maintaining equipment, and assisting in barge landings. Candidates must be prepared to command, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safety of operations.
Requirements
- Valid USCG license with radar observer endorsement
- Previous experience as a mate or master of a tug hauling oil barges, or completion of a Company Training program.
- Coast Guard approved firefighting and HAZWOPER training
- Valid state driver’s license
- Effective communication and training skills
- Ability to understand and use cargo information cards and material safety data sheets
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
- Valid HAZWOPER training (current certificate)
- Valid state driver’s license
- Ability to understand and speak English.
